PT Indodrill Indonesia (Indodrill) is a minerals drilling company that provides contract diamond and reverse circulation services to the Indonesian mining and exploration industry. Indodrill is part of Indodrill Holdings, which operates across a number of SouthEast Asia and other countries.

PT Indodrill Indonesia (Indodrill) is seeking a qualified and experienced Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor to operate from our Sentul office and from our operational work sites. The position involves the provision of the EHS management function for a staff of approximately 40 office and workshop employees and up to approximately 160 contract staff. The position reports to the Operations Manager and currently has five EHS Officers reporting (varies with operational sites).

The EHS Supervisor is expected to provide the leadership in keeping our people and the people we work with safe in the workplace, to provide training and mentoring to the site-based Safety Officers and to ensure that Indodrill complies with the Indonesian regulatory requirements.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor
The Key Functions of the role are as follows:
  • Foster EHS culture to all employees while supporting the growth of Indodrill;
  • Effectively manage the team of Indodrill EHS Officers and provide leadership, mentoring and training to them;
  • Develop and maintain EHS systems and processes by working in conjunction with HR and Operation Departments;
  • Ensure compliance to Indonesian Laws with respect to people, health, safety and environment;
  • Ensure investigations are conducted effectively and that action plans completed, including monitoring return to work issues where relevant;
  • Liaise with key client, government, provincial entities and bureaus in respect to EHS;
  • Ensure the EHS and Training requirements of the business are delivered, assessed, recorded and managed with the purpose of personal improvement of all employees;
  • Identify and put in place processes to manage risk and hazards in the workshop/office;
  • Communicate with and supply EHS information as necessary;
  • Assist sites to produce site specific EHS plans incorporating Indodrill, Client and Indonesian rules and regulations;
  • By working closely with EHS Officers and operations team ensure that internal and external reporting is timely and effective and that adequate and accurate statistics are compiled on a site and zone basis;

The successful applicant must have the following attributes, skills and experience:
  • A suitable and applicable university degree in an EHS-associated field. 
  • Must have demonstrated experience in a similar sized and varied EHS management role, preferably within a mining-related industry.
  • Must have a good understanding of Indonesian EHS requirements for the mining and related industries.
  • Must have a high standard of spoken and written English.
  • Must have a good understanding and attitude towards effective and practical safety and environmental practices that are primarily aimed at protecting our people and the environment.
